You strive to do your best but find yourself feeling unappreciated, overwhelmed and exhausted. You put all your energy into helping others and yet worry that others see you in a negative light and feel what you do is never enough. You notice your relationships are suffering. At times you feel irritable, anxious, and sad and are unable to pinpoint the reason.
Although you think some worry and anxiety are normal, it has gotten to a point where it is interfering in your daily life and you lack motivation to participate in the activities you once enjoyed. You understand that this cannot continue and recognize you need to speak to someone who can help you find clarity, and lead a more fulfilled life.

I help those struggling with feeling overwhelmed and burdened with anxiety and self- doubt. I help the clients I work with to recognize that we all need to take care of ourselves first to be better able to help others.
Together we can explore the patterns in your behaviors and uncover what may lie underneath the surface that may be contributing to your anxiety and discontent. Looking at our past helps us to examine the present and gain insight into the difficulties we are experiencing now. Through extended self -exploration my clients come to a better understanding of their thoughts, feelings and relationships and in doing so feel relief and develop healthier ways of experiencing themselves and the world.
Now, it’s time to put yourself first give yourself the time and attention you so often are ready to give to others. I enjoy working with young adults, women, people struggling with anxiety and depression and life transitions.
Here's a little about me:
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey and received my Masters in Education in Counseling from William Paterson University in August 2010. Previously an elementary school teacher with over 10 years experience, I began practicing as a counselor in 2012. I am also a graduate of The Institute for Psychoanalytic Studies, Inc. and am a certified Psychoanalyst. I really enjoy working with young adults, older adults, teachers and women struggling with life transitions, anxiety, and depression.
I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and their families. My experience with families was gained through working as an IIC (Intensive In Community) therapist for 6 years. In this position, I often visited families in their homes and provided therapeutic services to children and families in crisis situations, often helping these families find clarity and establish more healthy relationships. I also have experience working in private practices where I worked with adults experiencing anxiety, depression and life changes..
