Children:

You've noticed your child's behavior and emotions have changed.  Maybe they are irritable, more withdrawn, having difficulty at school, having trouble sleeping, or becoming easily overwhelmed. You and they may feel like something just isn't right.  Your child can't necessarily communicate what they need and you are feeling at a loss of how to help.

Therapy with me can give children a safe and supportive space to make sense of their emotions, build confidence, and learn healthy ways to cope with challenges. I can also help you as the parent find ways to help promote emotional health in your child.  I believe children, and their parents, do not need to navigate difficult experiences alone. My approach is warm, collaborative, encouraging, and developmentally appropriate, meeting each child where they are and allowing them to feel comfortable being themselves. Through parent support, conversation, activities, and age-appropriate therapeutic strategies, we can work together to help children understand their emotions, strengthen their coping skills, and feel more confident handling life's challenges.

Teens:

Being a teenager feels like a lot to handle. Between school, friendships, family, social pressures, changing expectations, and figuring out who you are, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed or like no one really understands what you're going through. You may be dealing with anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, mood changes, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what to do next. For parents, parenting a teen feels so different than when your child was little, and you may be at a loss for what to do.

I work with teens who are navigating these challenges and want a space where they can talk openly without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you're feeling, and learn how to manage difficult emotions in healthier ways. Together, we'll explore what's going on, identify your strengths, and build practical coping skills that you can use both in and outside of therapy.  I also work with parents of teens to help bridge the gap in communication that may be happening and help connect differently now that your child is a teen.

Adults:

As an adult, you may feel like you’re expected to have everything figured out while quietly struggling to keep up with everything on your plate. You may be taking care of work, relationships, family, and responsibilities while putting your own needs on the back burner. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by anxiety, constantly overthinking, feeling emotionally drained, or simply wondering when you’ll start feeling like yourself again. Even when things look fine from the outside, it can be difficult when you’re struggling internally.

You don't have to walk this journey alone.  I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. Therapy can be a space to slow down, process what you’ve been carrying, and better understand the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

About me:

I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of New Jersey and received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Ramapo College of New Jersey. My clinical experience includes working in higher levels of care, community mental health, and school settings. These experiences have allowed me to develop a broad understanding of mental health across the lifespan and support children, adolescents, and adults through some of the most difficult moments in their lives.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe you should be able to come to therapy as you are, without having to minimize what you're experiencing or have all the answers. Using approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness, I help clients develop practical coping skills while also creating space to explore the deeper experiences behind their struggles. I believe that therapy should be a space where you feel comfortable being honest, understood without judgment, and supported in working toward meaningful change. I believe that every person brings their own experiences, strengths, and perspective into therapy, and I value creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and genuine connection.
