where we are all a work in progress…

Children
Parents, you know your child better than anyone. That's why you've noticed something feels different. Maybe your child is worrying more than they used to. Maybe mornings before school have become a struggle, they've started having bigger emotional outbursts, or they're having a hard time making friends. Maybe they seem frustrated, overwhelmed, or no longer act like the happy, carefree child you remember.
As a parent, it's hard to watch your child struggle. You want to make everything better, but sometimes love isn't enough to take away the worry, sadness, or big feelings they're carrying.
Imagine your child feeling excited to go to school again. Making a new friend. Learning to believe in themselves. Coming home eager to tell you about their day. Those moments may feel far away right now, but they are possible.
My goal is to create a space where your child feels safe, understood, and accepted exactly as they are. Through play, creativity, conversation, and evidence-based approaches, we'll help them make sense of their emotions, build healthy coping skills, strengthen their confidence, and discover that they are capable of handling life's challenges.
I also believe you're an important part of your child's journey. I'll work alongside you by offering guidance, support, and encouragement, because when children feel supported both in and outside of therapy, meaningful growth can happen.
Every child deserves a place where they feel seen, valued, and believed in. My hope is that therapy becomes that place, and that your child leaves each session feeling a little more confident, a little more hopeful, and a little more like themselves.
Teens
Sometimes it can feel like everyone expects you to have it all figured out. Between school, friendships, sports, family expectations, social media, and trying to plan for your future, it can feel like you're constantly trying to keep up. Maybe you're the friend who always checks in on everyone else but never talks about what's really going on. Maybe you put so much pressure on yourself that even your best never feels good enough. Or maybe you're just tired: tired of overthinking, comparing yourself to everyone around you, or feeling like no one truly understands what you're carrying.
If any of that sounds familiar, I'm really glad you're here. Therapy isn't about having all the answers or knowing exactly what to say. It's about having a space where you can show up exactly as you are, on the good days, the hard days, and everything in between.
My goal is to help you understand yourself a little better, quiet some of the self-doubt, and build confidence that comes from knowing who you are, not from trying to be who everyone else expects you to be. Together, we'll work through anxiety, stress, self-esteem, perfectionism, relationships, life transitions, and whatever else feels heavy right now.
I believe you already have so much strength within you. Sometimes, life just gets loud enough that it's hard to hear it. My hope is that therapy helps you reconnect with that strength, trust yourself a little more, and leave each session feeling more confident, more hopeful, and more like you.
Parents
You don't have to have all the answers to be a good parent. Watching your child struggle can be one of the hardest parts of being a parent. You want to protect them from disappointment, anxiety, heartbreak, and self-doubt, but sometimes no matter how much love you give or how hard you try, you can't take those feelings away. If you've found yourself wondering, "Am I doing enough?" or "How can I help my child?" you're not alone.
While your child is the one coming to therapy, I believe parents are an important part of the journey. My goal is to create a collaborative relationship where you feel supported, informed, and encouraged every step of the way. Together, we'll celebrate the little victories, navigate the difficult moments, and help your child continue to grow both inside and outside of the therapy room.
There isn't a handbook for parenting, and no parent gets it right all the time. What matters most is showing up, asking for support when you need it, and reminding your child that they don't have to face life's challenges alone. I'm here to support both of you along the way.
Young Adults
You're trying to figure out who you are while the world keeps asking you who you're going to be. College and early adulthood can feel like one big transition. One minute you're moving into a dorm, the next you're choosing a major, applying to graduate school, interviewing for jobs, navigating relationships, and wondering if you're making the "right" decisions. It can feel like everyone around you has a plan while you're questioning everything. Maybe you're constantly comparing yourself to others. Maybe you're putting so much pressure on yourself that slowing down feels impossible. Or maybe you've spent so much time trying to meet everyone else's expectations that you're not even sure what you want anymore.
Here's what I want you to know, you don't have to have your future figured out to start feeling better. Therapy with me can be a place to slow down, tune out all the noise, and reconnect with yourself. Together, we'll work through anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, relationships, perfectionism, and the uncertainty that often comes with this stage of life. We'll celebrate your successes, learn from the setbacks, and help you build confidence in yourself, not because you have all the answers, but because you're learning to trust yourself enough to find them. Growing up isn't about having everything figured out. It's about discovering who you are, what matters to you, and having the courage to become that person.
My Approach, Education and Background
I've always been drawn to working with children, teens, and young adults because I believe everyone deserves a place where they feel heard, supported, and accepted exactly as they are. One of the most rewarding parts of being a therapist is watching someone begin to believe in themselves again, whether it's a child learning to navigate big emotions, a teen discovering their confidence, or a young adult realizing they don't have to have everything figured out.
I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from Montclair State University, where I developed a passion for supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families through life's challenges. My experience in school and community settings has allowed me to work alongside individuals experiencing anxiety, emotional and behavioral challenges, social difficulties, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns.
I believe therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. Every person has their own story, strengths, and experiences, which is why I tailor each session to meet you where you are. My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine, blending evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, play, and creativity to make therapy feel engaging, meaningful, and approachable.
Whether this is your first time considering therapy or you've been here before, I'm honored you're here. My hope is that from the moment we meet, you'll feel comfortable being yourself, knowing you have someone in your corner as we work toward helping you feel more confident, connected, and like yourself again.
A Little About Me
Outside of the therapy room, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, practicing yoga, and taking my Yorkie on walks. And if I'm being honest, you'll probably find me catching up on the latest reality TV show, too! I believe it's important to find joy in the little things and make time for the people and activities that help us recharge.
